Objectives of research

The objective of our project is to develop a rapid diagnosis test of acute otitis media (AOM) and easily performed in the physician’s office by using an isothermal amplification of RNA. This test will give information about the cause (one of the 5 most common bacterial species associated with AOM) and the appropriate treatment (based on their antibiotic resistance genes).
